Earthworks consisted of 7,000m  of cut to fill and a further 3,600m³ of imported pit sand supplied from an off-site quarry.

A significant amount of “re-compaction” of the in-situ soils was also undertaken to minimise the volume of imported fill required to reach designed surface levels.

The wastewater reticulation included the installation of 730 lineal meters of 160dia uPVC sewer trunk main laid at depths of up to 5.5m.

Significant ground waters were encounted during the installation of the trunk sewer main, therefore Phoenix implemented a de-watering system consisting of 6” header pipework and associated 40mm dia spears connected to a specialised 6” de-watering pump. Certified trenching shields were utilised to ensure safety was not compromised during construction.

Stormwater reticulation consisted of 430m of both uPVC and concrete pipework up to a depth of 2.5m.

The watermain consisted of 1,230 lineal meters of 150 – 100uPVC pressure pipework. Sections of the watermain were required to be installed outside of the development and there were 3 connections into the existing Council water infrastructure.

In excess of 2,200m² of concrete footpath and vehicle crossings were also constructed during the project.

Roading works consisted of 4,140m² of both carriageway and ROW construction.
